Continued exploration is part of our longer-term strategy in South Africa’s Northern Cape as we grow as a mining company that supplies metals for tomorrow. One way this is supported is through our participation in the 2026 BHP Xplor program.

Orion Minerals has over 3,400km² of tenement holdings and applications in South Africa’s highly prospective Northern Cape Province. These include extensive landholdings within the Areachap Belt, where the Prieska Copper Zinc Mine and Jacomynspan projects are located, and the Okiep region, home to the Okiep Copper Project.

The Areachap Belt: An under-explored mineral province with significant metal endowment and outstanding potential for the discovery of additional copper-zinc VMS deposits, as well as intrusive Ni-Cu-PGE-Au mineralisation.

The Okiep region: The Okiep region is one of South Africa’s premier historic copper districts, with more than 150 years of mining history and historic production exceeding 2 million tonnes of copper

Orion Minerals has an exceptional project pipeline:
